About GESI at FHI 360

The Gender, Equity, and Social Inclusion (GESI) team at FHI 360 is responsible for five pillars of work.  

Pillar 1: GESI Mainstreaming 

We support the implementation of our GESI Framework 2.0 with a set of 8 GESI principles, 10 commitments, and 9 standards, based on the external Minimum Standards for Mainstreaming Gender Equality of which FHI 360 is a founding sponsor. We also help mainstream our Safeguarding policies and minimum standards.  
 
Pillar 2: Business Development   

We integrate GESI standards across the business development life cycle and support equitable, inclusive partnerships with historically excluded stakeholders. 

Pillar 3: Technical Assistance 

We provide GESI technical assistance to projects across different sectors. 

Pillar 4: Capacity Strengthening 

We support the development of new GESI tools, trainings and monthly meetings of global GESI Champions 

Pillar 5: Thought-leadership 

We engage and organize GESI-related thought-leadership in coalitions and events. 

FHI 360 has a network of hundreds of GESI Champions, GESI Technical Experts across 60 countries who help implement GESI principles and standards.
